Better, Eldon Leisure Centre - Autism Friendly Soft Play Sessions

Better, Eldon Leisure Centre Launches Autism Friendly Soft Play Sessions.

Following on from the successful local partnership work and popular autism friendly sessions launched at Newcastle Trampoline Park and Gym in 2017, another Better leisure centre in Newcastle will soon be providing more opportunities for children on the autistic spectrum to experience some fun sessions specifically designed for their needs.

Every Friday, Eldon Leisure Centre have a weekly Autism friendly soft play session which will runs from 5.30pm and finish at 7.00pm.  Staff there have taken on board feedback from customers and followed advice from the North East Autism Society so the following changes have been made for the session.
Tickets will be available in advance of the session not just on the day to avoid queues.
All tickets cost £3.50 and there is no upper age limit (-1s free) and to encourage family participation all siblings are welcome.
There will be a screened matted area available.
The accessible toilet and changing facilities are available within the soft play area
Parents and carers must remain in the soft play area throughout the session
Following the popularity of the soft play sessions, autism friendly Vertigo Adventure Climbing sessions are also being trialled at the centre and will hopefully also become a weekly session
