SENTASS - Special Educational Needs Teaching and Support Service

We are a team of local authority specialist teachers and support staff who assess and work with children and young people who have a range of Special Educational Needs.

The following teams are accessed by schools through the SENTASS Service Level Agreement on Newcastle’s Services to Schools website:

  • Specific Learning Difficulties( Dyslexia/Dyscalculia)
  • Speech and Language Difficulties
  • Motor Coordination Difficulties

SENTASS Specific Language Impairment Team is centrally provided by Newcastle City Council. This team provides a multidisciplinary assessment for children and young people with significant SLCN followed by specific targeted intervention work.
