Bede's World

The extraordinary life of the Venerable Bede (AD 673-735) created a rich legacy that is celebrated today at Bede's World, Jarrow, where Bede lived and worked 1300 years ago. Visit the:

Located 2 miles from the Tyne Tunnel south entrnace and about 20 minutes walk from Bede Metro Station on the Newcastle to South Shields line.Bus services 526 and 527 from Jarrow Bus station (next to Jarrow Metro station) stop close to the museum and usually run every half hour.
