Art Garden and Music Garden at Scotswood Natural Community Garden

The garden works with nature to create a great place for people and wildlife to enjoy. The garden is about our community, whether in Scotswood and Benwell or the wider area, and we welcome people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved in our work. This can be as a visitor to the garden, as a member of our volunteer team, or as a participant in one of our events. We welcome you to visit and enjoy the fruits of our labours.

Scotswood Natural Community Garden is two and a half acres of beautiful organic garden, containing ponds, meadows, woodland, sensory garden, orchards, sculptures and organic fruit and vegetable plots. The Garden has a vibrant community of wildlife including the rare Great-crested Newt. Food is a big part of life in the garden and regular use is made of our Bread and Pizza oven.

On Saturdays from 1.30 to 3pm we run Art Garden and Music Garden . These sessions have lots of adults and invite families to stay so that they are inclusive to all
