Information for Schools

The course will take a holistic approach and will focus on interpersonal skills: ie verbal and non-verbal communication skills, confidence building and raising self-esteem. Employability is a key element within our training programmes and is integrated throughout. 

The Beauty programme will initially be carried out in house, however once staff and the learner feel they are ready and would benefit from an external placement, this is organised. 

Activities include

  • facial
  • body and nail treatment
  • ensure responsibility for actions to reduce risk to health and safety
  • promote additional services and products to clients 
  • develop and maintain effectiveness at work 
  • salon reception duties

Qualifications

Hair and Beauty sector:  Taster in Nail application  Taster in Facials  Taster in make up  Taster in supporting Therapists  City and Guilds NVQ Level 1 Award/ Certificate in Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector.  Additional qualifications available on request dependant on IA
