A request to colleagues working in schools, colleges, families and support provision to signpost young people with additional needs to support which is available throughout the year.

In July 2021, the National Development Team for Inclusion (NDTi)  launched a three-year programme to support young people with additional needs aged 16-25 years across England with confidence building and motivation for the future.

Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund this programme is specifically designed to reach young people who are experiencing anxiety, isolation and who have limited or no plans for the future post COVID-19. A team of staff experienced in person centre approaches and with good knowledge of education, employment, social care and health systems, provide tailored support.

Young people can access online one to one sessions, meet others through peer support sessions and get involved in coproducing training for professionals.

The project is being delivered in partnership with national disability charity, Contact, who are on-hand for tailored support to parents and carers and provide a series of workshops for parents and carers on transition to adulthood.

Please forward this email to your contacts and direct them to NDTi’s website here to make requests for support.
