Start for Life combines the Antenatal and Breastfeeding Support projects. We are a team of practitioners and volunteers working alongside midwives and health visitors to offer additional support to families in Newcastle.
Family friendly inclusive project running on Saturday afternoons. Sessions are 1.30-2.30pm & 3.00-4.00pm.

balletLORENT is a national touring dance theatre company based at the John Marley Centre, Newcastle. We create performance works for all ages, and have an extensive community dance class and workshop programme.
A therapeutic service which aims to reduce the impact of abusive or traumatic experiences on children, young people and families. The Wellness Recovery Project delivers 1-2-1 counselling and therapeutic support for women, children and young people who have been witness to and victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence, or who may have suffered from bereavement and loss.
SEND Jump session. A dedicated trampoline session for customers with special educational needs and disabilities. These sessions will not be available for the general public. Trampoline socks must be worn.

The Children and Young People’s Service provides a single service to all children and young people aged 0-18 years living in Newcastle and Gateshead who present with mental health difficulties.
This includes children and young people who may be living in difficult and challenging circumstances.

We also offer provision for schools, community organisations and events.
We're a circus school! You can learn to fly in the air on a trapeze, silks or aerial hoops, do acrobatics, walk on stilts, ride a unicycle, juggle, hula hoop, and more.

Company of Others is a dance theatre company based in Walker.
Suitable for 6 - 17 years old.
For girls aged 8-13 years. Come along and learn new recipes, how to grow things, ride bikes, play games and make new friends.
Couch to 2k – is our new pilot project improving young people’s fitness, health and well-being. Referrals come via Paediatricians at The Great North Children’s Hospital. Our Youth Workers then support young people to run 3 times per week in Leazes Park Newcastle, building up to a timed 2K at the end of 4 weeks. To encourage participation and remove barriers for young people to get involved, each young person receives an e- voucher to purchase sports clothes, trainers etc. and they also receive a basic fit-bit watch and Children’s Foundation water bottle.
Cowgate Young Theatre Makers is an exciting new drama group for children and young people. It is run by Unfolding Theatre and Projects4Change.
The group will use
- drama,
- theatre making,
- movement
- creative writing to create and share stories together.
Children and young people interested in off-stage roles are also welcome. These include technicians, sound, lighting and set design.
The group is open to children and young people aged between 8 and 14 years old.
Did you know we have a children's Craft Club at Kenton Library? Come and join us from 11am every Saturday morning and create something exciting to take home!
The Craft Club is free, with no need to book in advance. There are new crafts to enjoy every week and all materials are provided.

Reimagine cricket with our all-weather backyard cricket events or BYC. Play casual cricket all year round with us and test yourselves against the best. Be an old pro or a beginner taking baby steps into the game, play cricket as it is meant to be.

We would host sessions in the Newcastle United Foundation Centre with cricket, painting and more! The young people can play and learn with other primary school children.
This will run 3 January to 6 January from 2 - 6pm.

The children would have food and fruits and could take their paintings home. Santa would visit one day of the camp and play cricket with them!

We are a small independent business which relies on donations and has no other source of funding.
We do corporate events, bird control, group bookings.
We also offer Flying owl experiences where you not only get to handle a variety of owls but to fly some as well - £20 per person.
Full flying experience includes the handling of birds, flying owls and Harris Hawks - £40 per person.
Elswick community leisure centre is a community-led, not-for-profit centre for fitness, health and fun, which houses a public gym, swimming pool, space for community events, meetings and fitness classes.
