St. John Vianney Catholic Primary School was opened in 1975. The school serves the Catholic community of St. John Vianney Parish.
The school stands in its own fairly extensive grounds, which currently incorporate two external demountable classrooms and a purpose built Nursery attached to the existing main building.

Thomas Bewick School is a special school within Prosper Learning Trust in Newcastle upon Tyne. It is for children and young people between three and nineteen years with autistic spectrum conditions. All pupils have a Statement of Special Educational Needs/ Education Health and Care Plan or are in the assessment process. They have a range of learning difficulties; some will require a high level of adult support to access the curriculum, whilst others achieve close to age-related expectations in some areas.

I run a toddlers group on a Friday and attend childminders drop ins and messy church.We regularly visit the local library and parks, we organise and plan together summer outings ie: to the beach, sea life centre, and the farm. We attend sessions at the local childrens centre such as dance sacks, art and craft, and story time.

I am a qualified teacher and have had experience of working with primary children in school ranging from 2-10 years of age. I have been a childminder for the last 15 years.I engage the children in a variety of activities including home based play, outings to local amenities eg parks, farms, soft play, museums & visits to toddler groups and music sessions.


We are a 104 place local authority nursery school. We also have a two year old unit, All2gether@Ashfield, offering 15 hours funded places for 2 year old term time only.


SportNE Activity Camps is an Ofsted Registered Childcare which provides multi sports activities alongside crafts and challenges for 3-11 year olds.
Led by well qualified enthusiastic staff offering children the chance to learn new skills, try out new activities and build confidence and friendship through our structured activities. The camps run in all school holidays.
