St. John Vianney Catholic Primary School was opened in 1975. The school serves the Catholic community of St. John Vianney Parish.
The school stands in its own fairly extensive grounds, which currently incorporate two external demountable classrooms and a purpose built Nursery attached to the existing main building.

Newcastle Bridges School is a multi-site alternative provision academy within Prosper Learning Trust which provides education to pupils from ages 2-19. NBS predominantly serves children in the city of Newcastle but also those children and young people referred into hospital or mental health provisions from regional and national services, and some young people from outside of the authority. The school provides excellent educational opportunities to pupils whose education has been interrupted by mental or physical ill-health, school phobia.

Stocksfield Avenue Primary School caters for children age 4 – 11 years. We also have a Nursery, which provides part-time places for children aged 3 +. The school has occupied its present site since 1957, but in September 2008 the school moved into a brand new building, purpose built for the 21st century.

Thomas Bewick School is a special school within Prosper Learning Trust in Newcastle upon Tyne. It is for children and young people between three and nineteen years with autistic spectrum conditions. All pupils have a Statement of Special Educational Needs/ Education Health and Care Plan or are in the assessment process. They have a range of learning difficulties; some will require a high level of adult support to access the curriculum, whilst others achieve close to age-related expectations in some areas.
JET is a registered charity who work in and around Tyne & Wear to support those with English as a second language and from an ethnic background. This includes those from the settled community with English as their first language, as well as refugees and asylum seekers, EU migrants and third country nationals, many who have come to the UK through marriage . Central Walker Church of England Primary School is a Voluntary Aided School that caters for boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 11 years. It is part of The Riverside Learning Trust. Children normally transfer to Walker Technology College or Benfield School in the September after their eleventh birthday. The staff of the secondary schools liaise closely, the children visit and meet the teachers on many occasions before they transfer.

Welbeck Academy opened on 1 September 2012, in the former Welbeck Primary School, to serve the population of Walker and Byker in the east end of Newcastle upon Tyne and provides a first-class education for children aged 2 to 11 years.
