The setting implements the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and ensures all children have equal access and opportunity to actively learn and develop.  Outdoor access is available all year round to extend experiences. Clowning Around provides an Ofsted registered Breakfast, After School & Holiday Club at Ravenswood Play Centre for children who attend Ravenswood Primary School. We provide fun and affordable childcare delivered in a safe and supervised environment. Our qualified staff are DBS checked to an enhanced level, first aid qualified and are experienced in and passionate about the activities they offer.

Heaton Community Centre is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation 1161406. We offer full day care places, a Nursery, an Out of School Club with Holiday Play Scheme, Onsite and Offsite Crèche Services.

We are part of Sure Start East and link families into Sure Start services. We consult with parents and complete online learning journals to track progress. Healthy snacks are included in both our childcare services and our stay and play sessions.

Heaton Nursery is a private registered day nursery school, which has been established since 1970 and caters for children from birth to 11 years. The nursery is situated 10 minutes from Newcastle City Centre with easy access from all areas. The nursery is one of four privately owned provisions.

I provide a warm and friendly atmosphere to all children whatever race, culture or gender and ensure safety at all times.  Children have access to a broad range of resources, play opportunities and activities.  I work in partnership with parents and use the framework Birth to Five Matters effectively to involve children and further their development.  I also provide all meals, snacks and drinks which contain a range of different nutrients, fruit and vegetables and meet the needs of cultural and religious practices.

Shooting Stars offer high quality early years childcare and education from birth to 5 years. We also offer a wrap around care service for school aged children as well as a specialized 'Super Stars' (aged 5 - 11 years) holiday club.  With highly experienced and qualified staff, including a fully qualified early years teacher to teach the 'Big stars' (aged 3 - 4 years)
