Children’s Allergy Service

Our Allergy Service is led by a specialist team based in the Great North Children’s Hospital at the Royal Victoria Infirmary.

Clinics also take place in Benfield Park Medical Group in east Newcastle and specialist clinics at the Freeman Hospital.

We see children and young people with a range of allergic conditions including food allergy and anaphylaxis, eczema, asthma, hayfever (allergic rhinitis), rashes (urticaria) and swelling (angioedema), drug allergy, latex allergy and insect venom allergy.

Our allergy service is part of the Northern Paediatric Allergy Group working together with all the local hospitals.
