Early Help- Newcastle Safeguarding

‘Early Help means providing support as soon as a problem emerges, at any point in a child’s life, from the foundation years through to the teenage years. Early Help can also prevent further problems arising’
(HM Government: Working Together to Safeguard Children, July 2018: p12).
Children and Families Newcastle is the name of our collaborative approach across all services working with children, young people and families in Newcastle.
It is a ‘system’, not a service that you can refer to. The system brings together universal and targeted services into an integrated support offer.
Following a period of consultation, the Early Help Assessment and Plan and Early Help Plan Review document has been revised. You can access these, and a selection of helpful practice guides, within our new Practitioners space within the Newcastle Safeguarding Children Partnership website.
