Eco - Influencer Project

Eco Influencers is a six-month program for young people aged 16-17, offering them the chance to make an impact on their local environment through eco-conscious projects and social action.

Key Details:

  • I will visit your space and young people over a 4-to-6-month period.
  • The first 3 to 4 weeks will involve a carousel of activities to help your students develop the skills and knowledge needed to curate and develop their own environmental project.
  • It is youth-led, with the young people taking ownership and making decisions about the direction of the project, supported by a structured action plan that they will fill out, follow, monitor, and update.
  • Sessions are flexible and can fit around your unique time schedule, with a staff member present.
  • The program is fully funded, including a funded school trip to a Northumberland Wildlife Trust nature reserve.

We also offer a green careers session where we provide CV support and mock interviews tailored to environmental job roles, along with guidance on volunteering opportunities and support for gaining relevant experience in the environmental sector.

Examples of previous projects include:

  • Creating wildlife-friendly gardens to grow food for the community
  • Designing and building an outdoor eco-classroom
  • Raising awareness of climate change through a mural painted with a local street artist
  • Campaigning for a whole-school recycling initiative
  • Setting up camera traps to monitor wildlife in the school grounds
  • Developing already existing green spaces into healthy, biodiverse hubs
