A variety of social groups open to LGBTQ+ people aged 50+ including a Transgender Group, first and third Wednesday of each month, 7pm to 9pm.
A safe space for anyone to discuss anything, including sexuality, gender identity, sexual health and emotional wellbeing.
A regional steering group who raises awareness of HIV all year round and support World Aids Day events across Northeast and Cumbria.
Throughout the year Eyes Open work around the region in schools, hospitals, community settings and other organisations to promote the awareness of HIV and to remove the stigma that is still attached to HIV.
Our award-winning service is independent, free and confidential. We can help with things like understanding your rights, getting the health, housing and social care services you need, dealing with letters and phone calls, and supporting you to keep safe from abuse.

Meets in central Newcastle Wednesday afternoons in a safe space and is open to anyone 15-25 years of age who identifies as Trans/non-binary.

A parent and toddler group is a welcoming and friendly group of adults, mothers, fathers, childminders or carers that come together with their children who are under the age of 5 in their own community. They offer play opportunities for children from birth to 5-year-old, as well as an opportunity to mix with others. They offer support to adults and a break from the normal routines of the day. Booking maybe required at some groups.
The support line for those who need information and emotional support while waiting for gender affirmative healthcare.
Yoga sessions for the LGBTQ+ community, gentle movement, relaxation, and the last 15 minutes will be a group discussion around the specific theme of the class. 3rd Sunday of every month at DiverCity Hub.
An LGBTQIA+ Social Group for Newcastle and the surrounding areas. This is a Facebook group that shares information and events.

Come along to our community garden in Elswick Park – learn how to grow fruit, vegetables and flowers with our friendly community gardeners, make friends and enjoy the weather – rain or shine!
Come and visit our lovely farm in Northumberland – help us to grow vegetables and crops, look after the animals, breathe the fresh air and work the land together. Places are available on the minibus.
Come along to an ESOL class with a difference – all levels welcome. Free English classes provided by Action Foundation for women NOT attending college.
