Pathways 4 All's first over-16's SEN Festival Party Saturday 7th September, 4pm - 8.30pm. An opportunity to have fun and meet new friends. There will be live music, a laser show, bubble artist, fire eater, and illuminated disco. There will be snacks and soft drinks available to buy. Dress to impress festival style - bright colours and sparkles recommended. The crazier the better!
All of our libraries are autism friendly. To do this we have:
- provided staff training
- created 'calm zone' areas with autism friendly furniture
- put up posters to promote that we are autism friendly
We have also introduced a quieter hour from 10am to 11am every Saturday on Level 3 of City Library. We avoid making any excess noise to make the library quieter and calmer to help customers with autism and other additional needs.
Health Drop In Clinic specifically for Dads and Male Carers to come along with their baby's at the 'Dads Drop In'.

Looking for a Mentor?
Are you a neurodivergent young person aged 16-25 who could benefit from a mentor to support you with the skills for employment?
The Neurodiversity Employability Project works with neurodivergent young people, whether you have a formal diagnosis or self-identify. We match young people across Tyne and Wear with mentors who can help you: Feel more confident, explore work experience opportunities, improve your interview skills and CV writing, and gain employment.
Sessions are for children aged 11+ who have started secondary school. They are friendly and welcoming and include things like;
- sports and games
- cookery
- arts & crafts
- project based work
- socialising with friends
Please contact the project before attending. Your first session is free!

Kidz to Adultz North is taking place on Friday 11th October 2024 from 9.30am to 4pm at Manchester Central.
PALS is a free 6 week program for adults with additional needs and autism, which focuses on health and wellness and includes art, cooking, creating friendships, and confidence building. The session runs on a Monday 10:30am-12:30pm.
Our FREE junior sessions are a safe space for children aged between 5-16 years to come and socialise, play freely, learn about the world around them and take part in activities like;
- arts and crafts
- cooking
- gardening
- group games
- sports
The sessions are led by the children, they choose what they would like to do in their youth clubs and plan their activities. Snacks and drinks are available in all sessions.
All welcome, no need to book.
For parents and carers of babies 0-2 years old.
Therapeutic advice and support with baby led play to support bonding and attachment.

Drop in for anyone who finds themselves in financial difficulty or is in urgent need of basic provisions. All adults, parents and carers are welcome and family food parcels are available. Children can attend with parents/carers but must supervised. Referral is not required, but please bring evidence of ID and any benefits you are receiving
A weekly Clothes Bar providing children’s clothes to local families in need. All clothes are in good condition and are washed and ironed. Tea, coffee and toast are also available free of charge, and you’re welcome to stay and chat over a cuppa. No charge is made for clothes and all contributions of children’s clothes in good condition (including local school uniforms) are very gratefully received.
A monthly Saturday social get-together for warm and friendly chat while completing any craft that you wish to bring along with you! Small and friendly group – anyone is welcome to join us.
