Suitable for students:
Gosforth Civic Theatre Work Placement Programme for young people with learning disabilities and autism aged between 16 - 24 years old.
Working out of Gosforth Civic Theatre’s Cafe Bar the placement offers a varied role, developing skills including:
• Welcoming customers.
• Serving and preparing food and drinks.
• Qualifications in Food Hygiene.
• Barista skills.
• Operating the till.
• Replenishing stock.
Led by University and StreetGames staff, 13 - 16 year olds can experience University life! Over two weeks, 3 days per week, young people access sports facilities, as well as an array of brilliant activities such as Young Responders First Aid training, information sessions, cookery and much more! Breakfast and lunch served each day!

Nourish Food School will be providing cookery classes in partnership with other HAF providers across Newcastle that will give children a chance to learn some cooking skills, try new food, learn about what makes food good and have fun at the same time!
PRISM NE is a support group for trans and non-binary young people set up by young people themselves, to provide a space where they are free to be who they are. We plan activities, workshops, occasional trips and residentials.

This is a community event with local community organisers coming together to provide free activities for families over 2 days.

We aim to be a fully inclusive space and mix our SEN sessions within our normal routines. We just make simple adaptations.
Come and join us for free flow access to our large hall with space to run around, climb and explore & exclusive use of our sensory room.
£4 per child, £2 per sibling but free funded spaces available

Ran by professional artists and support staff, ICEbox is a youth club for young disabled people aged 16-25.
Based at our studios on Mosley Street, the club runs every Wednesday. Club times are 6.30pm - 8.45pm. You can attend on a pay as you go basis.
ICEbox offers a range of arts, drama, media, and craft activities. It is also a social space to chill and connect with friends.
Sport & physical activity sessions and events for children, young people with SEND. Siblings are welcome to attend too!
Our sessions and events are taking place across the North East. We are not postcode restricted, so please book onto any sessions/events you are able to travel to!

We are planning some fantastic family fun days at Byker Sands Family Centre this Summer. Ideal for primary school aged children but older siblings are welcome.
Parents/carers need to stay with their child during the session.

The Tim Lamb Centre offers activities and facilities for disabled children and families. We have a soft play area, a sensory room, a toddler playroom, and a games room. We also have a large, enclosed outdoor playground for sensory play. The building is wheelchair accessible.
Each week in the summer holidays our events will celebrate a different country. We have activities planned which include drum and mask making and garden games.
We are a social centre for people of all ages living with disabilities. Our facilities include a hydrotherapy suite, sensory rooms, a music room, and a cafe. We have different activities happening this summer, including animal adventures, and music sessions.

The National Saturday Club, 10am - 1pm programme is FREE, has no exams and offers 13–16-year-olds a unique opportunity to build their skills, develop their confidence, and discover pathways to further study and future careers.
