What we do

We produce evidence-based short films and factsheets to help teachers, parents, carers and others working with children to help recognise any potential mental health issues in Primary School aged children.  These are freely available on our website Nip in the Bud.
We believe passionately that early intervention reduces the risk of these issues becoming more serious in later years.

We work with mental health professionals from South London and Maudsley NHS Trust, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Anna Freud, King’s College, Imperial College and others.

Our Information films are between 6-9 minutes long and are accompanied by expertly written fact sheets. So far, we cover the following:
o    Anxiety Disorders
o    Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
o    Conduct Disorder
o    Depression
o    Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
o    Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
o    Autism Spectrum Condition
o    Self-Harm
o    Eating Disorders

Our Real-Life Experience films show interviews with young people and parents who have been affected and who speak frankly and movingly about their conditions.

Our films in response to Covid and Emotional Wellbeing are very short with practical tips.

Whilst some charities supporting children need to reduce their services or close, the benefit of Nip in the Bud is that our free resources are accessible online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
