Get Started with Football
Newcastle United Foundation has partnered with the Prince’s Trust to deliver an exciting football and sport programme to inspire young people aged 16-25 to consider jobs and participation within this sector.
Young people will get the opportunity to develop their team working skills, confidence and communication through taking part in a variety of activities.
This will include an introduction to first aid, insight into disability football as well as passing drills and playing small sided games.
Throughout the week young people will also gain an insight into careers in football
Over the 5 days, the course will have various workshops focusing on;
- How to get started in football (or sport career)
- Inspirational coaching stories from N.U.F staff
- First Aid Course
- Team building
- During the 5 days your travel will be refunded, and lunch will be provided.

Outcomes
Participants will sign up to NUfutures mentoring provision by Newcastle United Foundation, they will also have a Q&A with volunteer coordinator with Newcastle United Foundation, a current coach with Newcastle United Foundation, young people will also have access to the Prince’s Trust Team programme.
