Open to all young people aged 16-19 or 20-25 with an EHCP, who live in the North East . Free to attend if awarded a place. Travel and access bursaries are available for those who need them to attend.

Would you like to make and star in your own film?
Our award winning BFI Film Academy starts in November 2024. We will show you how to use cameras, sound and music to make your own film!
There are 12 spaces available, so any young person who is interested, must apply to attend one of our Taster & Application workshops, which will take place on Sunday 13th October. If anyone is interested but can't attend on this day, please contact us directly.

- Absolutely no experience is necessary, just an interest in film and enthusiasm to take part.
- Those who are awarded a place will be supported by our Award-winning team of filmmakers to make their very own short film.
- There are 8 filmmaking workshops in total, which take place on weekends.
- A support coordinator is in attendance at all of the film-making workshops.
