A mixture of outdoor play, games, crafts, cooking, bushcraft, environment and nature, trips and youth work. Young people help to decide what we do and eat.
Young people aged 10 - 25 (school year 6 upwards) meet new friends, develop self-confidence and create original plays that reflect their views and opinions in weekly sessions delivered by some of the most exciting theatre makers in the region.
Live Youth Theatre meet weekly throughout the school year, starting in late September. Over three exciting terms young people will develop their skills in stage craft, develop a new play to perform on the stage and explore scripts that have been produced and performed here at Live Theatre.
Northern Stage is a theatre in Newcastle City Centre, very close to Haymarket. You can enjoy plays, dance, comedy and musicals on all of our three stages.
We have family shows throughout the year and at Christmas we have two magical shows one for under 5s and one for over 5s.

YMCA Newcastle is a community hub for young people. They run a range of activities throughout the week. Their youth workers are trained to offer confidential support and advice to young people. We work with children and young people age 8-25 offering group activity sessions based on their age, one to one support, detached work and offsite activities.

Our Project works with residents of Pendower Estate, in the west end of Newcastle to improve their quality of life and to make the estate a great place to live and bring up your family. We are based in a small neighbourhood centre on the estate.
We work on:
Sensory Baby - supporting babies 0-12 months with their all-round development. Engage your child’s senses in this fun and interactive session.
The Millin Charity provide a range of services to help women in Newcastle & Gateshead to set up their own businesses, gain employability skills, access training and be part of a supportive community of women working towards financial independence.

A parent and toddler group is a welcoming and friendly group of adults. This includes mothers, fathers, childminders or carers.
They all come together in their own community with their children who are under the age of 5.
Parent and toddler groups offer play opportunities for children from birth to 5 year old, as well as an opportunity to mix with others. They also offer support to adults and a break from the normal routines of the day.
Booking maybe required at some groups.

Come and join in healthy cooking activities. Have a dance and share story ideas. Learn about food hygiene and portion sizes. We will also share tips to improve dental health.

Museum Mice is a play and exploration session for under 5s and their grown ups! It is the perfect place for little ones to socialise and make new friends whilst discovering the wonders of the museum. Each month there will be a series of four sessions which explore a particular theme inspired by the museum collections.

A relaxed session for pre- walking babies who are finding their own unique ways to move around.
This is an opportunity for early movers to explore their curiosity, learn songs, make new friends and explore the senses whilst discovering some of our curious museum objects.
Den spaces and a selection of toys will be provided to explore and move between at their own pace.
A relaxed session for babies who haven't learnt to crawl yet.
This is an opportunity for young babies to engage in tummy time as a group, learn songs, make new friends, and explore the senses whilst discovering some of our curious museum object. Tummy time mat will be provided during the session but you are welcome to bring your own if you would prefer.
Our group is focused on providing sessions for German speaking families.

Rainbow Home is a charity providing support for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers and refugees in the Northeast of England. Working with people who have fled their countries because of persecution based on their sexual orientation or gender identity.
Meets 3rd Friday of the month.
A confidential service providing one to one and peer support to men, women and children affected by HIV in the North East
Northern Pride was formed in August 2007 after a brief gap in Pride activities following the closure of Pride on the Tyne. A research project was commissioned and carried out by MET Ltd to establish what the North East LGBTQ+ community would like from a Pride event. These results were fed back to the community in May 2007 and from this feedback, a group of volunteers came forward and formed the first Northern Pride Committee.
