This is a bookable session with a limited number of places available. It is aimed at children and young people who prefer a quiet environment. Use our normal facilities at the Tim Lamb Centre including the:

Children must be supervised at all times.

On a Wednesday Evening (term time), we run an arts and craft session ‘Get Crafty’ with a playworker leading the activity.

This group is especially for the siblings of disabled children/ young people. It gives the perfect opportunity to come together for fun and friendship.
The sessions are fully staffed. There are a range of activities both within the Tim Lamb Centre and out in the wider community.
Our sibling group outings have included Click n Climb, Ice Skating, Tynemouth Adventure Golf and The Arcade Warehouse.

An evening social for people living with MS and their family and friends. Takes place at Great Park Community Centre on the last Friday of each month. We aim to provide a safe environment where everyone can chat openly, learn more about MS, make new friends and, most importantly, have fun! Tea and coffee will be available throughout each session but at times we may ask for donations.

We have been working with the LTA to offer inclusive opportunities for tennis within the club. Our coaches have been on some additional training, and we are pleased to offer a course of SEN tennis sessions for ages 8 - 18.
When it comes to tennis, a learning disability includes conditions such as Down’s Syndrome, Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
We understand that each person’s learning disability has different symptoms and characteristics, so our expert coaches will tailor each session to suit their client’s needs.

Relaxed screenings are for children and young people with autism. They are sensory friendly with reduced sound, dimmed lighting, and no adverts or trailers. It is okay for guests to move around and make noise during the film.

A social event for all people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS). It is very relaxed and there are no charges. You are welcome to come with someone to support you.
The Glasshouse has accessible toilets, lifts, and parking facilities for disabled people.
Tea, coffee, and sweets will also be available.


Come along and get moving in a fun supportive environment. Enjoy this inclusive seated dance class for all abilities. Everyone is welcome including those with multiple sclerosis.
These sessions are led and taught by Hildy Harland every Monday at 12:30.
They take place in the Tesco Community Room at Tesco Extra in Kingston Park. There are accessible toilets, parking facilities, and ramped access.

Tovertafel: Magic Table is a fun interactive activity for children and young people. Different items or objects are projected onto the table. Users can move their arms and hands to interact with the projection. Scatter leaves and knock a football around on the magic table!
This is an activity for everyone but is often enjoyed by children with autism and learning difficulties.
The magic table is on Level 3 at City Library and free to use but must be booked in advance.

This is an inclusive youth group for young people with physical, sensory, and learning disabilities. There is a focus on having fun in a safe environment. Activities will be related to independent living, life skills and personal relationships.

14+ Yrs | 6-7.30PM

These football sessions are for children and young people with special needs. They help you learn football, get fit, and feel good. The sessions are friendly and supportive, so everyone can join in and have fun.

Fun sport and friendly boccia session for SEND/disabled children and adults. Our boccia session is suitable for beginners to experienced players. A great opportunity to learn the game, improve your skills as well as meeting new people and socialise.

There is no cost. Free Condoms and sexually transmitted infection (STI) test kits are available at all sessions!

Useful Vision is a service for visually impaired children around the North East. We provide positive opportunities and jam-packed events. Our support for children and families helps them to flourish.
Our activities and services can help children learn new skills and make new friends – reducing social isolation through increased confidence and self-esteem.

We are a small team of massage therapists We specialise in massage therapy for individuals with Special Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND). We work with all ages 3 years old+.

The Tim Lamb Centre is a specialist play and leisure facility for children with disabilities / additional needs and their siblings. Please bring evidence of your child's disability/ additional needs with you on your first visit. We are open 10-4pm every day during the school holidays.
