Our Community Cancer Champions really make a difference!
By talking to their friends, families, groups and workplaces, they help spread the word about the importance of screening and how to spot signs and symptoms of cancer. This free Cancer Champion training is delivered over 2 x two hour sessions face to face or remotely via Zoom. Our main focus is to work with children and young people most in need, including those with mild to moderate disabilities or additional needs. Our SEN offer focuses on activities and events based at our sites across Tyneside.
We have SEN Community hubs which offer young people (14-25) the chance to meet in a safe environment where they can socialise outside school, form new friendships, and become more confident and independent. (They are currently on hold while we look for a new venue).

A small specialist social work team who undertake assessments for suitability for residential rehabilitation for adults living in Newcastle. If you wish to be considered for residential rehabilitation you need to be engaged in treatment with NTaR and you can discuss this further with your keyworker within the service.
