An inclusive LGBTQ+ cycling group in the North east of England.
We define the North East to include the following counties: County Durham, Northumberland and Tyne & Wear.
We genuinely hope this group will allow you to build confidence, make new social connections and improve your physical & mental health through cycling, either alone or with other group members.
A national organisation with regional groups, as well as specialist groups covering interests such as caving, cycling, swimming etc. As well as day walks many weekends away are organised in different parts of the country and abroad.
A friendly group of gay, bisexual and trans guys who get together to enjoy hiking, climbing, walking, running, cycling and water activities.
Volunteers run events all over the UK including the north east.
Yoga sessions for the LGBTQ+ community, gentle movement, relaxation, and the last 15 minutes will be a group discussion around the specific theme of the class. 3rd Sunday of every month at DiverCity Hub.
We are a small independent business which relies on donations and has no other source of funding.
We do corporate events, bird control, group bookings.
We also offer Flying owl experiences where you not only get to handle a variety of owls but to fly some as well - £20 per person.
Full flying experience includes the handling of birds, flying owls and Harris Hawks - £40 per person.
As the impacts of climate change intensify every year, more and more young people are joining the movement to take action and raise awareness to protect our planet and wildlife.
Eco Influencers provides opportunities for young people aged 10-18 to design and deliver their own environmental social action projects that really make a difference. From outdoor eco classrooms to mindfulness wildlife gardens and recycling campaigns, young people across the region are leading the way.
How the project works:
This is a FREE service for children aged 5 and under going through the diagnostic process or with a diagnosis of autism.
Trained autism practitioners will run sessions that aim to:

We will be running a new Strengthening Families Group starting end of September on Thursday evenings
First session will be 28th September 2023 at 5pm - 7pm at Byker Sands Family Hub.
This programme is for families with children aged 8-16.

The Mums group currently meet every Thursday afternoon and has been running for 4 years now.
It is a relaxed space where young women can meet with or without their children. They can have a coffee and chat, share information and advice, support each other when life seems tough, which can help to reduce feelings of isolation. Importantly the group always manage to have a laugh together.

Parents on the Ball is a 10 week programme running in partnership with Action for Children and the Falcons Community Foundation.
The aim of the course is to promote healthy life choices families and to help them gain confidence in their parenting role in a fun and interactive way. They will gain some knowledge around parenting and take part in some physical activities and games that they can share at home with their children.
We know being a parent can be difficult at times. So, the aim of this course is to provide down to earth, straight talking parenting advice, tips and tools to support you in your parenting role.
Topics covered are:
• Looking after yourself as a parent
• Why children behave the way they do
Advice for parents and carers of children aged 5-19
We can help with all kinds of things like...
- emotional health and wellbeing
- bullying
- sleep
- bedwetting
- nutrition
- keeping healthy and safe
