At Walbottle Academy, our approach to education recognises that outcomes are paramount and also allows children to gain experiences and values which prepare them fully for life. PRISM NE  is a support group for trans and non-binary young people set up by young people themselves, to provide a space where they are free to be who they are.  We plan activities, workshops, occasional trips and residentials.

Every 2 weeks

Home Education Days have been designed for home educated children to benefit from our curriculum-linked workshops, which reflect current and relevant STEM themes and topics.  

Children experience working like scientists in a lab setting which they would not have access to at home. Families can also explore the science centre at leisure rather than having a ‘school style’ schedule to follow.
