In April 2022, Havannah First School was created when Broadway East First School relocated to Newcastle Great Park and changed its name to reflect the new location. This move has been planned for a long time and we are delighted to now be in our wonderful, state of the art brand new school and grounds. Welcome to the website of Northumbria Army Cadet Force (ACF). The ACF is one of the UK's oldest, largest and most successful youth organisations. Sponsored by the Ministry of Defence it has a long and proud history of preparing young people to achieve the most out of their lives. Boys and and girls aged between 12 and 18 are eligible to join. They participate in a varied programme of military training which includes map reading and shooting, sport and adventurous activities including the Duke of Edinburgh's award scheme.

The Charity Patchwork was set up in order to help and educate young people between the ages of 8 and 25 years resident in the West End of Newcastle Upon Tyne and the surrounding area. This includes those who are involved in the Criminal Justice System or at risk of becoming involved in the Criminal Justice System,  without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or political, religious or other opinion.

ACANE exists to support the settlement of asylum seekers and refugees from the African continent, who have been dispersed to the North East region and Tyneside, in particular, and to actively promote their integration with the host community so that they can lead full and active lives, and participate in and contribute to the community on an equal basis.

Kids Kabin provides regular creative activities to enable personal development.  We engage kids from disadvantaged areas in creative activities to support their learning and personal development. For ages 8 to 13 years

Kids Kabin’s main location is in Walker; however, we run activity hubs in locations all over the city – from Pottery Bank to Cowgate and places in between.

Beacon Films CIC is a training and production organisation for people with learning disabilities, autism and additional needs.  We have been given multiple awards for our work.

Throughout the year, we offer a variety of filmmaking projects.  There are also some volunteering opportunities on short film commissions. 

Newcastle Music Service in partnership with Gosforth Academy Music Department and Gosforth Schools Trust are offering young people the opportunity  to play and sing with other instrumentalists

This activity is for year 3,4, 5, 6 and 7 pupils
