Parents/carers need to stay with their child during the session.
The Tim Lamb Centre offers activities and facilities for disabled children and families. We have a soft play area, a sensory room, a toddler playroom, and a games room. We also have a large, enclosed outdoor playground for sensory play. The building is wheelchair accessible.
Each week in the summer holidays our events will celebrate a different country. We have activities planned which include drum and mask making and garden games.
We are a social centre for people of all ages living with disabilities. Our facilities include a hydrotherapy suite, sensory rooms, a music room, and a cafe. We have different activities happening this summer, including animal adventures, and music sessions.
The dates of our summer sessions are:

All of our libraries are autism friendly. To do this we have:
- provided staff training
- created 'calm zone' areas with autism friendly furniture
- put up posters to promote that we are autism friendly
We have also introduced a quieter hour from 10am to 11am every Saturday on Level 3 of City Library. We avoid making any excess noise to make the library quieter and calmer to help customers with autism and other additional needs.
Join us for a family cricket session tailored for Black and South Asian families.
All ages welcome. Halal snacks provided.

Children Today helps provide specialised equipment for children and young people with disabilities throughout the UK. The aim is to ensure that every disabled child and young person fulfils their potential and leads an active childhood.
We believe the provision of specialised equipment has a direct and immediate impact on a child’s quality of life and independence, and is vital in helping them to overcome obstacles and achieve their potential. Equipment can include wheelchairs, walking frames, tricycles and other mobility aids along with multi-sensory equipment.
The Access Fund is a grant to help disabled children and young people to participate in activities in their local community.
