The Community Multiple Sclerosis Team, based at Walkergate Park in Newcastle, is a multidisciplinary team working with people, and their families/carers, who have been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). The service provides therapy, information, advice and continued support from diagnosis to end of life.
The team involved in your care could include:
- Physiotherapists
- Rehabilitation Assistants
- Occupational Therapists
- Neuro Rehabilitation Nurse Specialist
This is a free service for those who care for children with additional needs. Browse a wide range of suitable, quality and specialist toys. You can borrow 4 toys for up to 4 weeks.

The Tree House Early Years Centre provides a range of Educational, Social, Therapeutic and Health activities / services for children aged 0-5 with SEND, and their families.
The centre was officially opened by councillor Lesley Storey in September 2023. The following video showcases the opening of the Centre and highlights some of facilities and activities available for children and their families.

Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity supports families who have a child aged 0-18 years with a life-threatening or terminal illness.

Journey Enterprises is a local north east charity which provides life-skills and employability training for young adult/adults with learning disabilities and autism. The Charity’s mission is to enable people with learning disability and autism to lead active, inclusive and fulfilling lives. Journey supports conditions such as Down’s Syndrome, Williams Syndrome, Sotos, Prader Willi ,Fragile X, Cerebral Palsy and autism. |
Based in Stockton, Sunderland and Newcastle, the College provides day and residential education for young people between the ages of 16 and 25 years with an autism spectrum condition (ASC). Students come from across the country to access this specialist provision that enables them to achieve their personal ambitions.
The majority of our students have additional and complex needs including learning disabilities, ADHD, mental health conditions, behaviours that challenge and sensory issues.
