We provide care and learning in a safe stimulating environment, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Bridgewater is a ‘state of the art’ purpose built facility, to the west of the city, with panoramic views of the Derwent Valley. It is easy accessible by car or public transport.
Part-time and full-time places available to suit your needs. We offer 2 year and 3 year funded places.
Dame Allan's Schools provide independent education from aged 3 to 18 years of age.
We are unique in the region as the only school following the pioneering Diamond Structure. In the Junior School and Nursery boys and girls learn together. At the age of 11, they move into our single sex Boys' and Girls' Schools where they are taught separately leading up to their GCSE examinations. When the students begin their A-level studies, they move into our co-educational Sixth Form.
In 1976, armed with a single phone in a rented office, Dimensions began supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs out of institutions, helping them lead ordinary lives in their local communities.
Forty years on, our work is fundamentally unchanged: we support people with learning disabilities and autistic people to have a louder voice, choice and control in their lives. Our 7000 colleagues deliver ambitious, effective, personalised support often with those whose previous support has not been successful.
The Alan Shearer Short Break Centre offers specialised breaks, from overnight to longer stays, for children and adults with a range of disabilities.
Our dedicated staff are trained in caring for people with profound and multiple disabilities, autism and Asperger's Syndrome.
We offer skilled and experienced support for those with additional health or medical needs and those who require specialist care.
Over The Wall provides FREE residential activity camps for children and teenagers living with serious health challenges and their families, to enable them to reach beyond their perceived limitations and rediscover a whole new world of possibilities. Our camps help develop the confidence, self esteem, coping strategies and peer relationships of our campers.
