Inspired Support base our approach on fun and exciting opportunities that enable people to utilise their skills, talents and interests and show how these can be put to good use. In 1976, armed with a single phone in a rented office, Dimensions began supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs out of institutions, helping them lead ordinary lives in their local communities.
Forty years on, our work is fundamentally unchanged: we support people with learning disabilities and autistic people to have a louder voice, choice and control in their lives. Our 7000 colleagues deliver ambitious, effective, personalised support often with those whose previous support has not been successful.
The Alan Shearer Short Break Centre offers specialised breaks, from overnight to longer stays, for children and adults with a range of disabilities.
Our dedicated staff are trained in caring for people with profound and multiple disabilities, autism and Asperger's Syndrome.
We offer skilled and experienced support for those with additional health or medical needs and those who require specialist care.
