Cafe Beam at Ouseburn Farm provides a fabulous environment for young people with disabilities and learning difficulties to gain hands on work experience and learn new skills and develop confidence.
We are looking for regular volunteers to provide practical support for our youngsters usually for one morning or one afternoon on a weekly basis. This role is extremely rewarding and varied and you will acquire a real insight into the operational side of our organisation as well as gaining valuable experience in working with people with special needs.
Newcastle Music Service in partnership with Gosforth Academy Music Department and Gosforth Schools Trust are offering young people the opportunity to play and sing with other instrumentalists

Newcastle Youth Link offers 1:1 peer mentoring for young people aged 11-18 (or up to 25 years with a disability) living in Newcastle. The mentoring is based around goals that the young person identifies, and they are matched with a volunteer peer mentor aged 17-25 years. The mentor once matched, will meet the young person once per week for a few hours within the local community. The duration of the match is 3-6 months and is reviewed during the match.
