Walkergate Community Primary School

Walkergate Community Primary School is a true community primary school. Our aim is to make sure that every child does the best they possibly can. To achieve this, we work in partnership with all of our families and schools in the local community. We have the highest expectations of behaviour and work really hard to ensure our school is a safe, happy environment.

We are a unique primary school with a real history. There has been a school on this site since 1918. Walkergate Community Primary is lucky enough to have generations of families coming through which helps to create the real sense of community we have. Our school is the heart of community; to achieve this we work closely with our neighbours. We offer individual support to our families and will always go the extra mile.

We are so lucky to have a brand new building. In 2009 we moved into our new school on the site of the old school. We now have a school built for learning in 21st Century. We have a set of core VALUES which we promote and celebrate. They are: Responsibility, Respect and Resilience. We believe that these values are what we all need to live by to be responsible citizens.
