West Denton Playgroup

We are based within the Denton and Westerhope Sure Start Building. We have an enclosed part-covered outdoor area, with bikes, sand, water, prams etc and an enclosed outdoor area at the front of the building with a mud kitchen plus a grassed area with a pirate boat, steering sit on frame, slide and picnic benches. We have a wide range of equipment indoors to help meet children’s needs and help them to develop to their best protentional by following the EYFS, including soft play equipment and a smart board.

We have 9 staff who are all trained in First Aid, Safeguarding, Inclusion Equality & Diversity, and Food Hygiene. We are open for 5 days a week, term time only. We offer full time places as well as mornings or afternoon sessions. 

We offer places for two and three year-olds entitled to 15/30 hours free funding as well as fee paying children.  We also provide wrap round care for children in nursery who attend West Denton Primary or St John Vianney's who can’t access full time places.

We have some places for two-year children entitled to an early start in a separate room with an enclosed outdoor area.
