Angelou Centre: A Community Space for Black Children and Those from the Global Majority Hi! We’re a community centre here especially for Black children and those from the global majority. If you come from a background where people don’t often see themselves represented, you’re welcome here. We run fundays out and create safe spaces to help you feel happy and confident. We support families to grow stronger and help you feel less alone. Our activities include beach trips, nature walks, creative arts, mindfulness, and more. If you’d like to know more, please reach out. We’re ready to listen and support you.
To Book: To register your interest, please contact Nikita Kaur-Stacey by emailing: nikita@angelou-centre.org.uk
This is a warm, caring and kind place because:
- Parents or young people can visit before the session
- We offer small group work / activities
- Parents / carers can contact staff to discuss individual needs
The Department of Education Holiday Activity Fund programme is to support young people aged 4-16 attending Newcastle City Councils schools that are eligible for Free Schools Meals or in need during the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays.
