Founded by disabled people in 1991 Arcadea is a disability arts organisation and registered charity that works to create better access to the arts for disabled people.

Based in our central Newcastle studio, the Hub is a cultural day service offering places to creative learning disabled and autistic adults, including school/college leavers. Hub members work with experienced support workers and professional artists in a range of disciplines including; drawing and painting, sculpture, textiles, media, printmaking, drama and movement. Activities are designed to develop personal creativity and improve art and craft skills whilst enabling collaboration, communication and wellbeing.
