Arcadea ICEbox Youth Club

purple circle with arcadea written in white writing inside the circle

Founded by disabled people in 1991 Arcadea is a disability arts organisation and registered charity that works to create better access to the arts for disabled people.

A cultural youth club for disabled & autistic young people based in Newcastle city centre. The Club runs every Wednesday from 6.30pm to 8.45pm throughout the year. On offer are a wide range of Arts, Drama and Craft activities, as well as space to just chill and connect with friends. For ages 15-25 year olds. Unfortunately we are unable to provide personal care or 1:1 support at this activity, support workers are welcome to accompany members.

This is a warm, caring and kind place to be because:

  • we offer a quiet/calm area
  • we offer small group work & activities
  • staff are available for discussing individual needs
  • pre-visits are available
  • we have an accessible toilet (continence issues)
  • staff have experience with SEND young people
