Family Play Sessions for all children with parental supervision

Dates:Tuesday 29th July and 5th, 12th and 19th August 2025

Time: 9:30am-1:30pm

For all children with parental supervision (siblings can come too!).  Priority places will be given to children in receipt of free school meals.

Activities to include indoor and outdoor play session, crafts, food exploration and sensory play.

Lunch will be provided for the children registered via Sportsfin, from 12.00—12:45pm

Summer Holiday Activities for children aged 8 - 16 years old. 

Dates:Wednesday - Fridays from 30th July until Friday 22 August 2025.

Time: 9:30am-1:30pm

Activities to include Indoor and outdoor play, free play, crafting, games and chill out zone, food and health education.  Lunch, snacks and water provided.

Priority places will be given to children in receipt of free school meals.

• we have a quiet/calm space for children and young people to chill out in,
• we offer small group work and activities,
• parents/carers are welcome to have a pre-visit and to discuss individual needs prior to the activities,
• the Cowgate Centre welcomes all babies, children, young people, families and professionals. We offer a range of group activities, responsive programmes, drop-in sessions and a community café, Café Hope. 

We also have an accessible toilet on the premises. 

The Department of Education Holiday Activity Fund programme is to support young people aged 4-16 attending Newcastle City Councils schools that are eligible for Free Schools Meals or in need during the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays.
