We love story times at Newcastle Libraries. These sessions
- encourage language development,
- help foster a love of books,
- are really, really fun!
Enjoy stories in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Explore what the library has to offer and make friends. Listen to stories that will encourage young children to develop a life-long love of books from an early age. These sessions do not need to be pre-booked, please feel free to drop in.

TimbaDash Theatre presents 'Timba Time!'
A monthly sensory story session designed for young people under 16 with complex additional needs. Come along on our story adventurers and be immersed in a sensory world... there will be lots to feel, hear, smell and see, including some interesting new characters! All sessions are accessible and inclusive to meet the needs of the young people.

NE1 CAN are seeking a small cohort of keen students considering progressing into law, either via a degree level apprenticeship or through the university route, with a view to becoming a solicitor. Visiting two city centre law firms, Samuel Phillips and Jacksons Law, students will experience two different working cultures and learn from current staff about what working in law is actually like
and what it takes to get there. NE1 CAN will provide lunch and students will be partaking in a law-based activity.

Fun and friendly soft play at Galafield Family Hub.
There are two areas in our soft play. One is for younger children 0-2 years old. The other area is for 2-6 year olds.
Projects for Change is a fun, weekly girls youth session youth. This a youth lead group.
Does your child have a special educational need or disability?
Come to our support group. It’s a friendly place for parents and carers to chat and get advice.

A parent and toddler group for all parents and babies / toddlers.
We provide free tea & coffee with biscuits & juice. We also offer free surplus food for those who need it.

As part of the SEND Celebration Events in June 2024, 'Skills for People' organised two Pamper Days for Newcastle Parent/Carers of children and young people with additional needs.
Parents/carers came along for a free morning of pampering, relaxation, a tasty lunch and a chat with other parent/carers.
