Little Minds in Mind

Becoming a parent or caregiver is often thought of as one of the happiest experiences of our lives. However, we know the reality can be much more complicated and for some, can be overwhelming.

If you are finding it hard to cope, you are not alone - it is OK to ask for help. Little Minds in Mind is a service for parents and caregivers who are experiencing difficulties in their relationship with their baby, during pregnancy or after their baby is born.

As well as one-to-one therapeutic work, little minds in mind will have a weekly presence in each family hub, offering a therapeutic drop-in service, which is an informal session.  This is aimed at families who need some 'light touch' emotional support.  During these sessions we will incorporate Tavistock's 'Watch Me Play' to promote infant mental health and bonding.

We will also be running two group programmes which we will be delivering out of the community family hubs across the city (referral only).

Here is a very brief overview of the content for each.

Preparing for Baby

4 sessions including health in pregnancy, caring for baby, early bonding and brain development and preparing for birth.

Baby's Here

A six-week programme with a range of workshops, which can be adapted depending on the age of the baby (up to two years-old) and the needs of the family.

If you require any further information, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
