NE1 Careers Event - The BIG One Newcastle Hospitals Trust

Please note, all expressions of interest to attend an NE1 CAN event must be made through either your education or youth provider.

Suitable for students:

• Interested in working as a qualified professional within the NHS
• Intrigued to find out about the vast range of Therapies based careers available
• Who wish to have a positive impact on people’s health and wellbeing

Employing over 18,000 people, Newcastle Hospitals Trust have jobs working within the NHS to suit all skills and abilities.
A huge organisation supporting the health and wellbeing of the entire population of the North East, join us for a session of exploration as we discover just some of the careers young people can embark on which will allow them to flourish, whilst helping
others and really making a difference.
 

Delivered in partnership with the Trust, students will hear from Sir James Mackey, Chief Executive, on the characteristics and qualities they are searching for within future employees, speak with staff from many different departments, roles and levels and experience the activity zone, delivering insight into the types of job-roles students could be doing in the future. Students are welcomed to attend the morning
OR the afternoon time-slot, please advise on timings when expressing interest.

If you would like to attend any of our NE1 CAN events, please follow the steps below:

1. Identify the events of interest
2. Send an expression of interest to info@ne1can.co.uk
3. Places will be allocated and confirmed back to the education provider depending on availability
4. All students U16 must be accompanied by a member of staff. All students 16+ are welcome to attend independently or with staff. In the case of individual attendance, names and emergency contact numbers must be provided to NE1 CAN in advance

5. Final details will be sent out to the education provider in advance of the event

   
   All education providers wishing to engage with the programme will be required to sign an annual service level agreement.
