We have been working with the LTA to offer inclusive opportunities for tennis within the club. Our coaches have been on some additional training, and we are pleased to offer a course of SEN tennis sessions for ages 8 - 18.
When it comes to tennis, a learning disability includes conditions such as Down’s Syndrome, Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
We understand that each person’s learning disability has different symptoms and characteristics, so our expert coaches will tailor each session to suit their client’s needs.
Come along and chat to a Health Visitor about feeding your baby. You can come while you are pregnant or once your baby is born. Ask any questions about bottle feeding , breast feeding and weaning. No need to book.
You can also call us to book a breastfeeding support appointments. Appointments with a Health visitor are available city wide Tuesday to Friday.

Counselling service for children and young people aged 4-16 years who have been affected by domestic abuse. The service supports the emotional health and wellbeing of children who have experienced domestic abuse and who are displaying related signs of trauma. As well as the one-to-one counselling sessions, support and guidance will be offered to the non-abusing parent / primary carer so they can support their child’s needs.

AKT in the North East supports LGBTQ+ young people (16-25) who are homeless or living in a hostile environment.

The Hub offers places to disabled and autistic adults, including school/college leavers. Sessions are led by experienced support workers and professional artists.
Explore drawing and painting, sculpture, textiles, media, printmaking, drama and movement. Activities are designed to develop personal creativity and improve art and craft skills. There is also focus on collaboration, communication and wellbeing.

Are you looking for an inclusive exciting activity for adults of all abilities? Then come along to our weekly Boccia sessions from 10th June until 15th July 2025.
Boccia is a precision ball sport. It is similar to bowls. It is fully inclusive for players of all abilities, including those with physical disabilities.
Best of all, these sessions are free!

Our breastfeeding social groups are for families living in Newcastle. They are relaxed, informal and friendly. They are a great way to
- meet other breastfeeding mums,
- get handy tips and information
- get support from a member of staff or volunteer.

They all come together in their own community with their children who are under the age of 1.
Parent and toddler groups offer play opportunities for children from birth to 5 year old (in this group 1 year old), as well as an opportunity to mix with others. They also offer support to adults and a break from the normal routines of the day.
Booking maybe required at some groups.

Café Beam @ Gosforth provides work placements for young people with learning difficulties and disabilities, helping them gain valuable work and life skills.
What is Café Beam?
Café Beam is a place where young people can learn to work in a café environment. They help prepare food, serve customers, handle money, and more. The café serves delicious, home-cooked food using fresh, local ingredients from Ouseburn Farm.
Benefits of Joining
Ridley Villas is supported housing that provides help for women who have children, who are living in Newcastle and Gateshead who need support with overcoming issues with drugs or alcohol, or both.

Oaktrees offers a fully supported and structured, 12 step intensive programme for people wanting to become sober. The programme lasts around 12 weeks with good links to a range of fellowship and recovery groups in the city. To access Oaktrees, you should have had a specialist assessment or support plan from NTaR, but you can call the service for more information.
