Scotswood Village Nursery Newcastle

Scotswood Village Nursery is a setting based in the West End of Newcastle, which provides high quality care and early education for children aged 2-4 years.

In June 2018 we were rated ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted. We pride ourselves on the high level of care and education children receive whilst in our care. Children who attend our nursery are provided with opportunities to access a wide range of stimulating and fun activities in order to develop and achieve. We have a lovely outdoor area and operate a ‘free flow’ system so that children have access to indoor and outdoor areas on a daily basis.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework to plan activities and tasks based on the children’s interests. Children are encouraged to develop at their own pace and take ownership of their learning. Two experienced qualified teachers are employed to lead and work alongside nursery staff to ensure that children are able to play and learn in order to achieve their full potential and are ready for their eventual move to school.
