The Mix is the UK’s leading support service for young people. We are here to help you take on any challenge you’re facing - from mental health to money, from homelessness to finding a job, from break-ups to drugs. Talk to us via our online community, on social, through our free, confidential helpline or our counselling service.
Discovering your sexual identity is an exciting and important part of growing up but it is also essential to stay safe and healthy. So our confidential and impartial sexual health service is here to help you (as long as you are aged 13 to 25 years old) with any questions, problems or support you need.

Detached sessions allow the North Benwell Youth Project to engage with potential users and meet young people in the street.
Our vision is that North Benwell will not be considered disadvantaged or deprived. We wish to see the young people of North Benwell enjoy the same possibilities of life as their peers in other areas of Newcastle upon Tyne.
The young people of North Benwell will generate their own hope for the future and be the agents of their own destinies.
Based within Cowgate community centre, sporting chance offers engaging multi activity sessions for the full community at no cost.

Our Hubs have and will always be spaces where children and young people have; a sense of true belonging, safe spaces to make mistakes and grow from them, where they can challenge and motivate each other to achieve their full potential.
For girls aged 11-13.
The group offers opportunities to explore life and relationship issues and practise life-skills such as planning and organising in a safe environment. This will also help to build self-esteem and confidence.

The FAB (Fantastic and Brilliant) Group is a group of young people aged 11 to 25 who have SEND.
Every month, the FAB Group come together to make friends and share experiences. The monthly meet-ups alternate between in-person meetings and online meetings. Learn more on our website.

A group ran by North Benwell Youth Project. NBYP wish to see the young people of North Benwell enjoy the same possibilities of life as their peers in other areas of Newcastle upon Tyne: the young people of North Benwell will generate their own hope for the future and be the agents of their own destinies.
These sessions are led and coordinated by Gem Arts and funded through Youth Music, to support local organisations to offer structured high quality music sessions to young people delivered by professional musicians.

The Mums group currently meet every Thursday afternoon and has been running for 4 years now.
It is a relaxed space where young women can meet with or without their children. They can have a coffee and chat, share information and advice, support each other when life seems tough, which can help to reduce feelings of isolation. Importantly the group always manage to have a laugh together.
A weekly session for young people to meet, chat and create through art, music and games.
Join us in a space where everyone is welcome. Activities are led by your interests. We offer a safe place to meet new people.
Refreshments and snacks are provided.
Young people can contact Children North East beforehand or just drop by. A consent form needs to be completed on arrival or can be sent out electronically.

We provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
We won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.
RISE is part of the Newcastle Gateshead CCG, NHS and DFE Mental Health in Schools programme. We work in schools and colleges and support young people with moderate mental health needs. This could mean working directly with individual students, running group sessions, or helping teachers shape lesson plans or assemblies.
At RISE, we offer low intensity support for children and young people coping with mild to moderate mental health needs. Our Education Mental Health Practitioners will tailor sessions based on young person needs but themes may include:
