Excelsior Academy opened in 2008 and has since become Newcastle’s most improved secondary school, consistently judged as good by Ofsted. The Charity Patchwork was set up in order to help and educate young people between the ages of 8 and 25 years resident in the West End of Newcastle Upon Tyne and the surrounding area. This includes those who are involved in the Criminal Justice System or at risk of becoming involved in the Criminal Justice System, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or political, religious or other opinion.
For brothers and sisters of disabled children and adults
Sibs is a UK charity for siblings who may be finding it hard to cope with a brother or sister who is disabled, has special educational needs or a serious long term condition.
It is the only UK charity representing the needs of over half a million young siblings and over one and a half million adult siblings.
Sibs can give information and advice both over the phone and online. Sibs also runs YoungSibs, an online only support service for siblings in the UK aged 7 to 17.
The Turf @ St John's is a community facility run by St John's Primary School.
Between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm the Turf is often used by the school, however external bookings may be available for the pitch and the indoor hall & activity area. From 5pm to 9.30pm every weekday and all across the weekend a variety of sessions take place or the turf is available for private hire at extremely competitive prices
Our pitch is ideal for junior football training & 7 v 7 matches, and adult social games with friends or colleagues.
Our five Auton residential children's homes can be found in Newcastle, Sunderland and Darlington. Each home offers professional care and a stable environment for young people aged between seven and 17 who are unable to live with their own families.

The Forced Marriage Unit (FMU) is a joint Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Home Office unit which leads on the government’s forced marriage policy, outreach and casework.

Quadrant main focus is to work with children and young people most in need and hard to reach including those with disabilities or additional needs.
Our provision over the years has seen us work within educational settings offering after school clubs, holiday clubs, mentoring and personal development programs.
We have also developed our first SEN exclusive drop-in club for young people.
Food bank open every Monday and Wednesday morning 9am to 12pm.

Kev Stoodly, Founder & CEO and Doug Laidlaw, Project Manager are from the award winning North East Young Dads and Lads (NEYDL) charity that works with marginalised and disadvantaged young dads and expectant fathers (aged 25 and under) in the North East region of England.
YMCA Newcastle is a community hub for young people. They run a range of activities throughout the week. Their youth workers are trained to offer confidential support and advice to young people. Our service is available for anyone aged 11 to 18 living in the UK that is worried about their own, or someone else’s gambling or money spent in gaming.

Elswick community leisure centre is a community-led, not-for-profit centre for fitness, health and fun, which houses a public gym, swimming pool, space for community events, meetings and fitness classes.

Newcastle Trampoline Park and Gym is located in the west end of Newcastle, providing excellent sport and leisure facilities for the local community. As well as a great gym which features a great range of Technogym equipment, we have a separate women only gym and the studios offer a great choice of fitness classes including Group Cycling. With new Technogym bikes recently added come along and give them a try. For children the centre boasts one of the newest Soft Play structures in Newcastle.
