A range of support services provided by trained professionals who are specialists in the field of male sexual violence. SurvivorsUK was established as a service for male survivors of rape and sexual violence, however they are an inclusive service and welcome anyone who identifies as male, trans, non-binary, has identified as male in the past, or anyone who feels that they are the right fit for them.

The Forced Marriage Unit (FMU) is a joint Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Home Office unit which leads on the government’s forced marriage policy, outreach and casework.

National helpline offering support to victims of forced marriage and honour based abuse. Honour crimes are not determined by age, faith, gender or sexuality, and Karma Nirvana work with all victims.

Free, anonymous dedicated FGM helpline for anyone worried a child is at risk of or has already had FGM.

The National FGM Centre is a partnership between Barnardo’s and the Local Government Association. It was established in 2015 to achieve change in the provision of services for children and their families who are affected by FGM. In 2017, the focus of their work was extended to include Breast Ironing/Flattening and Child Abuse Linked to Faith or Belief. The Peer Educators deliver preventative domestic abuse and healthy relationship workshops in schools, colleges, youth groups, children’s homes and any setting where young women are present.

Young people aged 10 - 25 (school year 6 upwards) meet new friends, develop self-confidence and create original plays that reflect their views and opinions in weekly sessions delivered by some of the most exciting theatre makers in the region.

Live Youth Theatre meet weekly throughout the school year, starting in late September. Over three exciting terms young people will develop their skills in stage craft, develop a new play to perform on the stage and explore scripts that have been produced and performed here at Live Theatre.

Rainbow Home is a charity providing support for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers and refugees in the Northeast of England. Working with people who have fled their countries because of persecution based on their sexual orientation or gender identity.

A confidential service providing one to one and peer support to men, women and children affected by HIV in the North East

Northern Pride was formed in August 2007 after a brief gap in Pride activities following the closure of Pride on the Tyne. A research project was commissioned and carried out by MET Ltd to establish what the North East LGBTQ+ community would like from a Pride event. These results were fed back to the community in May 2007 and from this feedback, a group of volunteers came forward and formed the first Northern Pride Committee.

Support group set up by Washington Mind for young people aged 13-25. Tuesday evenings 5-7pm at Washington Mind
