Thomas Bewick School is a special school within Prosper Learning Trust in Newcastle upon Tyne. It is for children and young people between three and nineteen years with autistic spectrum conditions. All pupils have a Statement of Special Educational Needs/ Education Health and Care Plan or are in the assessment process. They have a range of learning difficulties; some will require a high level of adult support to access the curriculum, whilst others achieve close to age-related expectations in some areas.
SA students graduate as multi skilled, resilient, industry ready professionals, equipped with transferable life skills, a positive attitude, strong work ethic and an insatiable drive to succeed. SA Professionals graduate with an invaluable tool – industry contacts. There’s some truth in the old adage ‘It’s who you know!’

The garden works with nature to create a great place for people and wildlife to enjoy. The garden is about our community, whether in Scotswood and Benwell or the wider area, and we welcome people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved in our work. This can be as a visitor to the garden, as a member of our volunteer team, or as a participant in one of our events. We welcome you to visit and enjoy the fruits of our labours.
The Charity Patchwork was set up in order to help and educate young people between the ages of 8 and 25 years resident in the West End of Newcastle Upon Tyne and the surrounding area. This includes those who are involved in the Criminal Justice System or at risk of becoming involved in the Criminal Justice System, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or political, religious or other opinion.

Jesmond Lawn Tennis Club is a small and friendly club located in the heart of Jesmond, just 5 minutes from Newcastle City Centre. The club was founded in 1883 and has a long and distinguished history which includes member Muriel Robb winning Ladies Singles at Wimbledon in 1902.
Kids Kabin provides regular creative activities to enable personal development. We engage kids from disadvantaged areas in creative activities to support their learning and personal development. For ages 8 to 13 years

Since its inception South North has been the Premier League’s most successful club winning the league championship ten times in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2015, the Banks Salver in 2000, 2007 and 2012 and the 2nd Division in 2004 and 2008. 2006 proved an extremely successful year with the 1st XI also winning the prestigious Cockspur Cup, claiming the title of best club side in Britain. The 1st XI added to this in 2008 by being crowned champions of the inaugural Cockspur 20/20 Cup at the finals day held at the SWALEC Stadium in Cardiff.
Swimfun North East is a new swim school (est. April 2017) that provides high Quality swimming lessons for people of all ages. Lessons are fun and aim to develop water confidence and swimming technique and skills within the national framework.
We are an inclusive swim school and we welcome people from all backgrounds and abilities, safeguarding is a priority. All teachers are nationally qualified, DBS checked and members of Swim England.
Razzamataz classes cover everything from traditional West End musical theatre through to street dance, pop singing and acting for camera. Students gain valuable insights into the industry with regular special guest workshops led by experienced professionals from stage and screen.
Beacon Films CIC is a multi-award winning training and production organisation for filmmakers with learning disabilities, autism and additional needs.
For young people (aged 6 - 19) with no experience of filmmaking, Beacon Films runs a BFI Film Academy from November - February each year, during which young people learn all about filmmaking by creating and starring in their own short film. Places are FREE but limited, so contact us early to avoid disappointment!
The Turf @ St John's is a community facility run by St John's Primary School.
Between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm the Turf is often used by the school, however external bookings may be available for the pitch and the indoor hall & activity area. From 5pm to 9.30pm every weekday and all across the weekend a variety of sessions take place or the turf is available for private hire at extremely competitive prices
Our pitch is ideal for junior football training & 7 v 7 matches, and adult social games with friends or colleagues.
Newcastle Cricket Club welcomes your involvement. We’re a new club, rebuilding fast thanks to the support for more than 150 volunteers and many hundreds of members. The Jesmond Ground was founded more than 125 years ago; a two year campaign to ensure it stayed open resulted in 2006 in a new partnership between our club and the Royal Grammar School.
A travelling multi-sensory resource for children with disabilities, their families and friends. Activities include music, storytelling and creative play. Sensory Spaces appears at festivals and family events in the region.
Sensory Spaces was set up to address the needs of all children at local events and to encourage families to attend. The aim is to provide a safe, relaxing space where children can listen to music and stories, explore their creativity, dress up, play and have fun.

A group ran by North Benwell Youth Project. NBYP wish to see the young people of North Benwell enjoy the same possibilities of life as their peers in other areas of Newcastle upon Tyne: the young people of North Benwell will generate their own hope for the future and be the agents of their own destinies.
These sessions are led and coordinated by Gem Arts and funded through Youth Music, to support local organisations to offer structured high quality music sessions to young people delivered by professional musicians.
