The Mums group currently meet every Thursday afternoon and has been running for 4 years now.
It is a relaxed space where young women can meet with or without their children. They can have a coffee and chat, share information and advice, support each other when life seems tough, which can help to reduce feelings of isolation. Importantly the group always manage to have a laugh together.
A Junior group for ages 8-11 ran by North Benwell Youth Project.
Our vision is that North Benwell will not be considered disadvantaged or deprived. We wish to see the young people of North Benwell enjoy the same possibilities of life as their peers in other areas of Newcastle upon Tyne.
The young people of North Benwell will generate their own hope for the future and be the agents of their own destinies.

Children aged 15-17 meet on a Tuesday (term time only) 4.30pm until 6.30pm

Friendly, social group for Romanian women
A therapeutic service which aims to reduce the impact of abusive or traumatic experiences on children, young people and families. The Wellness Recovery Project delivers 1-2-1 counselling and therapeutic support for women, children and young people who have been witness to and victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence, or who may have suffered from bereavement and loss.

Suitable for students:
Each week we provide activities that enhance spatial awareness and improve cognitive and physical development. Parents/carers are supported to think about their child’s interests (12 months - 3 year olds) and respond to their ideas to gain a greater understanding of each other.

This session is for families with children from birth to 2 years. This is a sensory play session, using a disco theme. We have lots of singing as well as exploring lots of musical instruments and puppets.

Our Community Cancer Champions really make a difference!
By talking to their friends, families, groups and workplaces, they help spread the word about the importance of screening and how to spot signs and symptoms of cancer. This free Cancer Champion training is delivered over 2 x two hour sessions face to face or remotely via Zoom.
