Regent Farm First School is conveniently located on Wansbeck Road, close to the metro station and other transport links.

We are a larger than average first school. We take children from Nursery to Year 4. We have approximately 320 children on roll and 51 members of staff.

Simonside Primary School Ethos and Values

St. John Vianney Catholic Primary School was opened in 1975. The school serves the Catholic community of St. John Vianney Parish.

The school stands in its own fairly extensive grounds, which currently incorporate two external demountable classrooms and a purpose built Nursery attached to the existing main building.

St John’s is a school at the heart of the community of South Benwell, Newcastle. We are a school which was judged to be good by Ofsted in October 2018, where every child is encouraged to achieve their very best. Children here make good progress and leave us well equipped to succeed in their secondary education. Our school has grown significantly in recent years and has an excellent reputation in the local area.

At St. Joseph’s we aim to: Promote a learning community based on the gospel values of love, trust and respect where the achievements of everyone are recognised and celebrated. Living, Learning and Loving together with Christ.

St. Joseph’s School is a Voluntary Aided Primary School for boys and girls aged 3+ to 11+ years and has a Nursery Unit of 26 full time equivalent places.

St Paul’s is a happy school which provides children with a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment. Our hard working, dedicated staff understand that you want the very best for your child and we are committed to meeting the needs of every student during the time that they spend with us. By working in partnership with parents and carers we aim to enable every child to fulfil their potential academically, spiritually and socially.

Stocksfield Avenue Primary School caters for children age 4 – 11 years. We also have a Nursery, which provides part-time places for children aged 3 +. The school has occupied its present site since 1957, but in September 2008 the school moved into a brand new building, purpose built for the 21st century.

Walkergate Community Primary School is a true community primary school. Our aim is to make sure that every child does the best they possibly can. To achieve this, we work in partnership with all of our families and schools in the local community. We have the highest expectations of behaviour and work really hard to ensure our school is a safe, happy environment.

Welbeck Academy opened on 1 September 2012, in the former Welbeck Primary School, to serve the population of Walker and Byker in the east end of Newcastle upon Tyne and provides a first-class education for children aged 2 to 11 years.  We are proud to be sponsored by WISE Academies and fully support the WISE ethos of aiming to be outstanding in all that we do.  We are rightfully proud of the academy's provision which helps children to grow as individuals whilst aiming for the highest academic standards.

West Denton Primary School was built in 1955, when it was opened as a separate infant and junior school occupying two floors. In the early 1970’s, as a result of the introduction of the 3-tier system, the school became a first school occupying the ground floor

An annexe containing 4 classrooms and a separate nursery pre-fab was also added during the 1970’s these have now been demolished and a new extension was built in 2001.

At West Walker Primary school all children are encouraged to achieve success and develop a life-long love of learning through a relevant, broad, balanced, stimulating and memorable curriculum. We will provide a happy, healthy and secure environment that develops good communication and nurtures confidence, social skills and mutual respect. We will promote an understanding of local and global issues enabling us all to make a positive contribution to society.

 At Westerhope Primary School we believe that all our children are special and unique. We provide an environment which is safe, secure and where individuals treat each other and their property with respect. We work as a whole school team to provide a creative, stimulating and engaging curriculum for all our children. Sacred Heart is a one form entry Roman Catholic Primary School in the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle. We are proud to be the parish school of St. Robert's Church in Fenham, Newcastle and have a rich history and tradition which dates back more than 100 years. The present school was built in 1995.

Bridgewater is a growing, vibrant 0-11 school in the heart of Scotswood, with panoramic views across the Tyne Valley. This unique setting provides outstanding childcare and education and offers a range of extended services to the community it serves.

Byker Primary School is a welcoming, friendly school set inside the Byker wall, in the East end of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Canning Street is a unique school situated in the inner-west of Newcastle and draws children from Benwell, Elswick and West City. Our vibrant, modern school is at the heart of the local community and is often referred to as being “an oasis”. The school serves a very diverse population comprising a wide range of ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds. This area of the city is well-served by a range of community support groups and services.
