Our aim at Dinnington First School is to provide a happy, stimulating environment where children will be encouraged to co-operate wholeheartedly with other children and staff who will help them to develop fully their individual, intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual potential.
To this end we shall ask parents to work with us so that together we may promote the growth of respect for one another and care for the physical environment as well as the attainment of the highest possible academic standards.

At Brunton we celebrate the uniqueness that each individual brings to build a community that is welcoming and inclusive of all who pass through our doors. Our values are rooted in the notion of growing together to be the best we can be, learning from each other, building one another up and welcoming difference.
We believe that through our vision and values, we will build a growing, compassionate community where knowledge is pursued with excellence, where friendship is rooted in respect, and where character is exemplified through actions.

In April 2022, Havannah First School was created when Broadway East First School relocated to Newcastle Great Park and changed its name to reflect the new location. We are still part of the Gosforth Schools' Trust and are part of the Gosforth three tier Pyramid.

We believe that working in partnership with families, involving them in children’s learning, is a strength of our school. The school has had a strong tradition of working with families for over 120 years. We are a small family orientated school and our size enables us to reassure parents that we can really get to know their unique and special children. Because we are small we can really spend time getting to know our families well. Each year has 30 children or less, with every class having additional support to ensure your child achieves their very best. F
