JET is a registered charity who work in and around Tyne & Wear to support those with English as a second language and from an ethnic background. This includes those from the settled community with English as their first language, as well as refugees and asylum seekers, EU migrants and third country nationals, many who have come to the UK through marriage . ELSE is a programme unique to JET, which not only offers indepth ESOL classes around specific employment sectors but is also supported by local employers and organisations with work placement and experience opportunities.
