An independent legal support service to help protect women against domestic abuse. A network of domestic abuse experts provide advice, support and guidance to support women to protect themselves from violence, gain court orders, access legal aid and navigate court processes.
The Peer Educators deliver preventative domestic abuse and healthy relationship workshops in schools, colleges, youth groups, children’s homes and any setting where young women are present.
Couch to 2k – is our new pilot project improving young people’s fitness, health and well-being. Referrals come via Paediatricians at The Great North Children’s Hospital. Our Youth Workers then support young people to run 3 times per week in Leazes Park Newcastle, building up to a timed 2K at the end of 4 weeks. To encourage participation and remove barriers for young people to get involved, each young person receives an e- voucher to purchase sports clothes, trainers etc. and they also receive a basic fit-bit watch and Children’s Foundation water bottle.

School Nurses offer one to one support and drop in and pop up sessions to school aged children in topics ranging from mental health to public health sessions in puberty and sexual health they also offer support to families and young children with sleep, diet and toileting amongst other health related and social issues.
A confidential helpline, email and webchat service for domestic abuse perpetrators and those supporting them. They support men and women who are using abuse in same-sex or heterosexual relationships.
Kev Stoodly, Founder & CEO and Doug Laidlaw, Project Manager are from the award winning North East Young Dads and Lads (NEYDL) charity that works with marginalised and disadvantaged young dads and expectant fathers (aged 25 and under) in the North East region of England.
YMCA Newcastle is a community hub for young people. They run a range of activities throughout the week. Their youth workers are trained to offer confidential support and advice to young people. They can support you with any issues you may have and refer you to other services if needed. You can phone or visit their office in Walker for help with:
We work with children and young people age 8-25 offering group activity sessions based on their age, one to one support, detached work and offsite activities.

We take unwanted bikes and repair them so that they can be used again. On Saturdays we run a group for young people to learn about bike mechanics, build confidence, and learn new skills. There is a waiting list for the group, but please get in touch if you are interested.
We know being a parent can be difficult at times. So, the aim of this course is to provide down to earth, straight talking parenting advice, tips and tools to support you in your parenting role.
Topics covered are:
• Looking after yourself as a parent
• Why children behave the way they do
